Description and applications
The SECUBASE 383 works as a safety knife and as a cutter. It has automatic blade retraction to prevent cutting injuries, and when a job such as a saw cut is easier with a fixed blade, the blade locks at seven different positions.
The knife is fitted with a snap off style No. 79 blade, 17.9 mm wide and 0.5 mm thick. Typical materials include cardboard up to four ply, stretch and shrink wrap, layers of foil or paper, foam and polystyrene, bagged goods, tape, plastic strapping band, coated and laminated film, PVC, felt and fleece.
A safety lock secures the blade, and blade changes are made safer by a magnet that holds the blade. The handle is very abrasion resistant, suits right and left handed users and has a lanyard hole.
