Description and applications
This lanyard is designed for personal fall protection systems where a single attachment point is required. It features a two metre length of kernmantle rope construction with integrated energy absorption. The assembly includes hardware components that connect to the harness and provide a secure termination point. It is intended for use by individuals carrying tools and equipment while working at elevated locations.
The energy absorber limits the force transmitted to the user during a fall event, reducing injury risk. It is engineered to manage the kinetic energy of a falling person up to a specified mass limit including carried gear. The activation of the absorber occurs through controlled extension of the internal pack. This helps prevent excessive peak loads on the body and anchor structure.
It is commonly used in construction, maintenance, and industrial settings where fall hazards exist. Workers wear it connected to a full body harness and a certified anchor point. The design allows for mobility while maintaining continuous protection. It is not intended for use in confined spaces or where swing fall risks are not assessed.
