Stratex X700 Coir Spill Absorbent 50L

Stratex X700 is a loose granular sorbent made from natural coconut coir fibre. The material is biodegradable and will not leach captured liquids back into the environment, making it a landfill friendly choice for workshops and industrial sites. Because the granules are lightweight they are easy to broadcast over a spill by hand or with a spreader, and they sweep up cleanly once the job is done.

The product targets hydrocarbon based spills such as oil, diesel, hydraulic fluid and fuel. It works equally well on hard surfaces like concrete and asphalt as it does on soil or open water, where the granules float and continue to absorb. The coir structure locks the liquid inside so there is no dripping during collection and disposal.

To use, simply scatter the granules over the contaminated area until the liquid is fully wetted, allow a short contact time, then sweep or vacuum the saturated material into a suitable waste container. The spent absorbent can be disposed of according to local regulations for oily waste. The 50 litre bag provides enough volume for multiple small incidents or a single large cleanup.
