Description and applications
This product is a liquid additive designed to maintain the quality of water used in emergency eyewash stations. It comes in four individual bottles, each containing 250 millilitres of solution. The formula is clear in appearance and does not alter the physical properties of the water it treats. It is intended for use only with compatible safety equipment as specified by the manufacturer.
The solution works by inhibiting the growth of harmful micro-organisms that can contaminate standing water over time. It prevents the development of biofilms and microbial colonies that could pose health risks during emergency use. One bottle treats between 23 and 75 litres of water, depending on water quality and usage conditions. Protection lasts for up to three months after application.
It is specifically formulated for use in portable gravity-fed eyewash units such as the SE5000 and SE5050 models. The additive is poured directly into the water reservoir of the unit according to instructions. No mixing or activation is required beyond standard filling procedures. The product ensures the water remains safe and compliant with hygiene standards during its shelf life.
- Preserves water in emergency eyewash units for up to three months
- Effective against bacteria, fungi, algae and other micro-organisms
- Each bottle treats 23 to 75 litres of water
