Description and applications
This lanyard is constructed from durable kernmantle rope designed to resist abrasion during regular use. It features an adjustable length mechanism allowing the user to set the working length between 850mm and 2 metres. The integral energy absorber activates smoothly during a fall event to reduce impact forces on the body. Each unit includes a permanent label with connection guidance and certification details.
The primary function of this device is to limit the risk of injury from falls when working at height. By absorbing kinetic energy during a fall, it helps prevent serious trauma to the user. It is intended for use as part of a personal fall arrest system when connected to a suitable anchor point. The adjustable feature ensures proper fit for various working positions and task requirements.
Common applications include construction, maintenance, inspection and scaffolding work where fall protection is required. It is suitable for use on roofs, steel structures, towers and other elevated work platforms. The TAK and scaffold hook terminations allow secure attachment to standard anchorage points and scaffolding tubes. The product is sold as a single unit and meets the requirements of AS/NZS 1891.1 - 2007.
