The construction balances strength with comfort, allowing extended wear during routine tasks. The material resists tearing while remaining lightweight and flexible for daily use. Seams and closures are built to maintain integrity under normal working conditions.
They provide a barrier against fine solid particles such as dust, powders, and fibres, meeting Type 5 standards for particle-tight protection. Additionally, they resist limited amounts of liquid spray and splashes, complying with Type 6 requirements for low-risk liquid exposure. The fabric does not allow liquids to penetrate quickly, giving the wearer time to react in minor spill scenarios. Protection is effective against common workplace irritants but not against high-pressure jets or toxic vapours.
Commonly worn in construction, automotive workshops, waste handling, and general maintenance environments. They are also used during asbestos-related work where fibre containment is critical. The garment suits decorative trades, civil engineering sites, and cleaning operations where hygiene and particle control matter. After use, they are disposed of safely to avoid cross-contamination.
