Corrosive Substance Storage Cabinet

This storage unit is designed for the safe containment of corrosive materials in both liquid and solid forms. It meets the requirements of AS3780 for the storage and handling of such substances. The construction uses double-walled galvanised steel to provide durability and resistance to chemical exposure. A low-profile under-bench design allows for efficient use of space in tight work areas.

The cabinet features a self-closing door with adjustable hydraulic closure to ensure it shuts securely after use. Overlapping door edges help prevent heat ingress and maintain internal stability. Shelves are adjustable in 45mm increments, allowing flexibility for different container heights. Each shelf includes a plastic spill tray to contain minor leaks or drips.

Ventilation is provided through two 50mm vent bungs equipped with steel flash arresters to prevent flame propagation. A recessed handle with a keyed lock and two keys offers controlled access. An external static earth connection and included earthing wire help manage electrical risks. A 150mm deep liquid-tight sump captures spills, and the unit is packaged on a pallet with protective cardboard for safe transport.
