Description and applications
The Gibson hat is a versatile headwear option designed for both formal and casual outdoor environments. Built for longevity, it uses a heavy-duty cotton drill for the crown, gusset, and brim, reinforced with an open cell foam laminate and a nylon interior lining. The design features a high crown and a 9cm brim to ensure significant shade and sun defence for the wearer. To maintain its structure, the brim edge is reinforced with wire and finished with a polyester fabric tape, allowing the curve to stay intact during use. This Australian made hat provides UPF 50+ protection. When selected in Large or Extra Large sizes, the garment meets the AS/NZS 4399:2017 requirements for sun protective clothing classification.
