Description and applications
This is a lightweight hand-held safety cutter with the blade set back inside the head. The edge reaches the material being cut but sits out of the way of fingers, which takes much of the risk out of everyday cutting.
Because the blade does not protrude, it opens cartons without slicing into the stock inside. One cutter handles cardboard boxes, plastic strapping, shrink film and bubble wrap, so a packing bench needs fewer tools.
It is made in the USA and suits warehouses, retail back rooms, mail rooms and anywhere staff open deliveries all day. For double wall cardboard the Excel DX in this range is the stronger choice, with a reinforced head built for the thicker board.
