Description and applications
The respirator is a pre-moulded disposable mask designed to fit a range of face shapes without requiring adjustment. Its built-in nose bridge helps maintain a secure seal around the nose area, reducing the chance of unfiltered air entering. Two elastic straps hold the mask firmly in place while remaining comfortable during extended wear. It is intended for single use and comes in a card containing three individual units.
It provides protection against non-toxic dusts, metal fumes from welding and soldering, and fine particulates generated during sanding or grinding tasks. The mask is also suitable for use in medical settings where exposure to airborne contaminants is a concern. It does not protect against gases, vapours or oxygen-deficient atmospheres. Users should ensure the mask is worn correctly to achieve the intended level of filtration.
Common applications include industrial workshops, construction sites, healthcare facilities and food processing areas where metal-free equipment is required. The absence of metal components makes it appropriate for environments where metal detection or contamination control is important. It meets the performance requirements of the AS/NZS 1716 standard for particulate respirators. The product has a shelf life of three years from the date of manufacture when stored in dry, cool conditions.
