Description and applications
This lanyard is designed to reduce impact forces on the body if a fall occurs while working at height. It features a built-in shock absorber located at the harness end to manage energy during arrest. The webbing is made from high strength polyester with an abrasion-resistant cover on the loop ends. It is intended for use by one person carrying tools within the specified weight range.
The lanyard protects against the dangerous forces generated during a fall arrest event, limiting peak force to safe levels. It helps prevent serious injury by controlling deceleration when connected to a fall arrest system. The double action locking snap hooks maintain secure attachment under load. It must only be used with compatible connectors that remain engaged during high gate forces.
It is suitable for use in scaffold erection, roof work, construction tasks and machinery maintenance where fall protection is required. Users must follow the guidelines in AS/NZS1891.4:2009 for proper selection, use and maintenance. The product meets the requirements of AS/NZS1891.5:2020 and has been independently tested and certified. It has a service life of ten years from the date of manufacture when stored and used correctly.
