Description and applications
It is a low-profile under-bench cabinet designed for storing Class 4 dangerous goods in liquid or solid form. The cabinet is built from double-walled galvanised steel with a solvent-resistant yellow powder-coated finish. It includes a single perforated shelf that can be adjusted in 45mm increments for flexible storage. The design features a self-closing door with hydraulic speed control and a continual piano hinge for durability.
The cabinet protects against fire, spontaneous combustion, and hazardous reactions from moisture exposure. It contains heat-overlapping door edging to prevent heat ingress and a liquid-tight sump to contain spills. Each unit has two vent bungs with steel flash arresters to safely release pressure while blocking flame propagation. A magnetic catch ensures the door stays closed but releases automatically if internal pressure builds up.
It is used in workshops, laboratories, and industrial facilities where Class 4 chemicals are handled or stored. The cabinet includes an external static earth connection and bonding wire to prevent static discharge risks. Recessed non-lockable handles allow easy access without compromising safety. Optional extra shelves are available to increase storage capacity as needed.
- Adjustable shelf height in 45mm increments
- Self-closing door with hydraulic speed control
- Vent bungs with steel flash arresters for pressure relief
- Liquid-tight sump and heat-resistant door edging
