Description and applications
This lanyard features two legs with integrated shock absorption to reduce impact forces during a fall. The design limits peak force on the user to 6kN, enhancing safety in fall arrest scenarios. It is suitable for users weighing between 60kg and 140kg, including tools. The elasticated webbing allows for a shorter relaxed length, improving mobility while working at height. Constructed with durable materials, it resists abrasion at connection points to maintain integrity. The double action locking mechanism on snap and scaffold hooks ensures a secure, redundant connection. Hooks are rated to 16kN with gate sizes of 20mm and 60mm for compatibility with various anchor points. The product meets AS1891.5:2020 standards and has been certified by BSI. It has a service life of 10 years from manufacture date when properly maintained. Designed for one person plus tools within the specified weight range. Must be used with compatible connectors to prevent gate failure under high load. Ideal for front or rear harness attachment, allowing movement across structures while limiting freefall to 2m. Commonly used in scaffold, roof, construction, and machinery maintenance environments. Should be used in line with AS/NZS1891.4:2009 guidelines for fall arrest systems.
