Description and applications
The Hawk is a basket stretcher for emergency horizontal lifts, used to bring a patient out of an area that is hard to reach and across to a conventional cot or stretcher. It suits rescue teams, industrial sites and emergency responders. The stretcher and the lifting bridle supplied with it share a 272kg working load limit.
The shell is high-density polyethylene, fixed for good to a heavy-duty aluminium frame. It resists chemicals, UV, rust and corrosion, so it holds up in demanding conditions. Runners and moulded handholds make it easy to carry or slide over rough ground, including angled rescues. A removable mattress inside the base adds comfort and can be taken out for cleaning.
The kit includes a certified lifting sling with karabiners and four stainless steel bridle rings for fast attachment. A foot plate and three quick release patient restraints stay fixed to the sides so they cannot go missing, and the seat-belt style buckles adjust easily. A full colour user guide is included, and serialised labels on the stretcher and bridle support site equipment records.
