Description and applications
The NEM Scoop Stretcher is made for moving patients with suspected spinal injuries, hip injuries and accident victims without log-rolling them. Avoiding that manoeuvre reduces movement of the cervical spine.
The lightweight body is non-porous HDPE, which resists fluids and wipes clean. A strong aluminium frame splits at either end, or both, so it can be placed around the patient, and the length adjusts to suit different patient sizes. Solid locks hold it in position in an emergency. A recessed head section helps keep the neck aligned, and an oval shape with angled handles makes it easier to carry.
Quick-lock patient restraints are included, and the stretcher folds lengthways for storage. It is rated to carry 159kg. It is also compatible with the RSB131 Fast Aid Hawk Basket Stretcher.
