The kit uses a convoluted lid layer, a pluckable middle section and a solid base pad. You press out the middle foam cubes by hand to match the outline of each piece, creating a tight pocket that holds the item without crushing it. The lid foam cushions the top face while the base layer stops vibration travelling up through the case floor. Because the foam is cut to the case interior, there is no loose packing material to lose or replace, and the layout stays consistent every time the case is repacked.

Three distinct layers cover the lid, main cavity and base of the 1401 model. The pluckable core allows tool-specific cutouts without knives or templates. This setup suits field service, mining maintenance and defence deployments where gear must survive heavy handling and long transport legs.
