It is a double-walled steel cabinet designed for the secure containment of hazardous liquids and solids classified as toxic under UN and ADG standards. The construction uses 1.2mm galvanised steel with a solvent-resistant yellow powder coat finish to resist corrosion and chemical degradation. Internal features include three adjustable perforated shelves mounted on a piano hinge system, allowing flexible configuration for various container sizes. The cabinet includes a liquid-tight sump at the base to capture any leaks or drips from stored materials.

It protects against the release of toxic vapours, spills and contamination by providing a sealed, ventilated enclosure with flash-arrested vents and overlapping door edges that inhibit heat and vapour ingress. The self-closing doors latch securely via a three-point mechanism and are fitted with hydraulic closers that control shutdown speed to prevent sudden closure. A recessed handle with keyed lock ensures authorised access only, while an external earth connection and bonding wire prevent static discharge risks during handling.

It is used in laboratories, manufacturing facilities, workshops and storage areas where toxic substances such as cyanides, phenols, mercury compounds, alkaloids and trichloroethylene are handled or kept. The cabinet meets AS/NZS4452 requirements for toxic substance storage and is suitable for indoor use only. Optional extra shelves are available to increase storage capacity, and the unit is shipped on a pallet with protective cardboard packaging to prevent damage during transit.
